If all my makeup disappeared...

I noticed this tag on Youtube a couple of weeks ago, and I actually enjoyed watching quite a few of those videos, so I decided to do a post of my own. So basically, if all my makeup disappeared, which, I hope, never happens, what 10 items I would repurchase first.
At first, I thought it would be easy to pick 10 products, but it wasn't that easy. I started looking through my collection, in some cases I immediately knew which products I'd pick, but in others, I went back and forth for a couple of days. The way I look at it, is if my makeup disappears, I would want to replace the items quickly, so I chose the products that I can go to the store and purchase, instead of ordering them online and waiting for a week to get them. And another thing before I start is that I tried doing a mix of high-end and drugstore products, because I wouldn't want to go out and drop $500 on makeup to replace the lost items. I do love all of the products I chose, and have either already repurchased or plan on doing so when I run out.

The first part, face base products, was easy. I knew immediately that I would go out and repurchase Clarins Ever Matte in 104 as it is my HG foundation in terms of color match, coverage, finish and wear time, at least in the warmer weather. I will use it this winter and see how my skin gets along with it in the colder weather. Because this foundation, while lightweight, has great coverage, and I can always add another layer where I need extra coverage, so I skipped face concealer.
For the under-eye area, I first picked Bobbi Brown creamy concealer, but then I changed to Maybelline age rewind one because it has great coverage, but it's thinner creamier texture, so it's easier to work with.
The powder choice was easy for me. Maybelline stay matte is a lightweight, finely milled powder that sets the makeup nicely without looking cakey and powdery, and does a great job of oil control.
The bronzer again was an easy category for me. I know that if something happens, I will immediately go and repurchase Clarins bronzing duo in Light. It is a beautiful choice of bronzer for fair-skinned ladies.
Now picking one blush was difficult, but knowing I could only have 10 items made me buckle down and narrow it down to one. My first choice was Illamasqua Naked Rose, but unfortunately, none of the Sephoras around me carry Illamasqua line (only nail polishes), and that was one of the requirements for me, so I had to put it away. I thought about that a lot, and ended up picking Nars Deep Throat, because it looks pink on me, but if I put it on top of bronzer, it looks more peachy, so that would 'kill two birds with one stone'.  And because it is shimmery, I don't need additional highlighter.
Mascara was a fairly easy choice. I didn't want to go out and spend $25 on Lancome hypnose drama, so Prestige My Blackest lashes is the second best, and it's only $6.
Let's move onto eye shadows. I do need an eye primer no matter what, so I cheated here and chose Laura Mercier metallic cream shadow in Alloy, a shimmery taupe that doesn't crease on me, so it would work great as a primer, plus it has beautiful color. As far as eye palettes go, I chose Sephora Primal Instincts palette, because you get a selection of 14 matte, satin and shimmery shades, that I can also use some of these colors as eye liner and brow color, so it would be a multi-purpose product for me.
Clarins lip perfector in Rose shimmer was an easy choice because the light pink gloss is perfect for giving some color to my lips and moisturizing them at the same time. And then I wanted to pick a peachy lip color, and I wanted to include Revlon Peach Parfait lip butter, but then I decided to change it to Makeup Forever rouge artist natural in #37, which is a peach with a cream finish, that feels so smooth on the lips.

So that's it. These are the ten items I would go and repurchase immediately if all my makeup disappeared (but first, I would, probably, sit down and cry for several hours).
Now when I chose these 10 items, I figured that all my skincare and makeup brushes aren't lost. I don't even want to imagine the situation where everything disappeared.
This was a fun TAG to do, and I look forward to reading other bloggers' posts and watching their videos on this subject.

Disney Cinderella by Sephora collection is almost here

I was browsing Sephora's website and look what I came across. It's Disney Cinderella by Sephora collection that is supposed to be launched in store in October. It looks like it will be available for sale early for beauty insiders, but it's not active as of yet. So for right now look and drool:)

Now I got lucky, and my local Sephora received their testers about a week ago, so when I went in, I had a chance to swatch all the eye shadows and lipsticks, and they are amazing, especially eye shadows. They were buttery, smooth, super pigmented, and (this is just first impression) reminded me of Urban Decay shadows.
That big palette is on my list, a mirror and maybe perfume, but I'd like to smell it in the store.

CARGO lip glosses review and swatches

As I've mentioned earlier, I found out about JC Penney Sephora's sale on CARGO products, so I went over there and picked up Tuscany lip gloss. I used it for about a week, and really enjoyed it, so I went back and got five more. I know, I have many lip glosses and I don't need these, but they were $4 each, which is such a steal, plus they are are very nice glosses.

Woodstock - sheer with pink pearl, great as a lipstick topper
Nassau - sheer peachy gloss with multi-color micro-shimmer
Tuscany - sheer baby pink with multi-color shimmer
Aruba - semi-sheer warm pink with cream finish
Rio - semi-sheer coral with cream finish
Tokyo - medium opacity pink-red with cream finish

Tuscany was my first CARGO lip product, and I am very impressed. These normally retail for $14, and come in 0.15 oz tubes. The packaging is very simple, and I really like that, because these are easy to put in a pocket or a wallet, as they don't take much space at all.
These glosses have a flat on both sides slightly longer than usual doe-foot applicator, which does a great job spreading the gloss on the lips. The consistency of this product is fairly thin, and non-sticky. The glosses apply smoothly and evenly, and feel very comfortable to wear. Even the shimmery ones dob't feel gritty at all.
These last about three hours on me, which is pretty good.
Overall, I am very impressed. While I, probably, wouldn't pay $14 for these, because I'd rather get a glossimer or a YSL golden gloss, these are great glosses, and if you have a JC Penney close to you, go check out their sale section, and try these.
